Britannia and the waves

International piracy would never have been a threat when britania ruled the waves. Today things are different. We have people like Bob Ainsworth and the rest of this ineffectual labour government.

Commenting on the situation Aisnworth did not sound like a natural speaker, but a hesitant speaker, lacking conviction in what he said.

Britain should be able to send and keep the navy deployed sorting out piracy. It can't be too difficult to show the flag and deal harshly with a few pirates now and again.

Our resources are being totally wasted by flighting the United States' battles in Iraq and Afghanistan so there's nothing left for 'flag showing'. Where we would once have sent a gunboat and sorted out the situation now we have to sit back and let the pirates have their way.
